First Trick-o-treat

Hard to believe Kara is 5 months old already. I believe that Kaylee is 1.5 years old.

The girls didn't go anywhere, just checked out the others kids as they came trick-o-treating at the grandparents house. Kaylee wasn't feeling to well- poor baby..I think because she just got her 18th month shots.

Have to say..you're a smiler. One happy baby, arms always swinging away. It's hard to believe that it's just two months ago that you came into our lives..Newest addition Kara Mai Hajek.

7 days old

5th day home.
Not getting much sleep with Kara up every 2-4 hours. Pumping and breastfeeding going along. Kara seems to like to fall asleep not long into the feeding. It seems feeding triggers the sleep button. Have to change daiper in the middle of feeding to get her to wake to feed some more.

When it started-recap

You were concieve mid to late September 2004. We've been waiting for you for a long time. We weren't sure if I could get pregnant because we've been trying for a year and I was 35. Then I got pregnant, luckily it was an easy pregnancy :<) Hooray!! I believe I gained about 25-30 pounds with you, not bad. The hardest part of the pregnancy was the labor and delivery.

Three days from the estimated due date, you decided to make your arrival on early Friday morning. The contractions came after lunch on Thursday while I was at work. Called your father at work and he picked me up and to the Hospital we went. What a scene that must of been as I was in pain from the contractions and could barely sit still, while daddy drove us to St. Mary.

Got the epidural and couldn't feel anything from the waist down....Had a hard time knowing when to push! Had a problem with you when I did push..your heart rate started slowing down. Seems like you didn't want to come out and was content inside..don't blame you, it's warm inside:>)

So, had to have a C-section to get you out safely. Found out later that the doctors believe that you would have been very, very hard to deliver naturally since you were facing up..sunny side up as they say. Just glad that you were a healthy baby.
