Chinese news year celebration

Took the kids to a chinese celebration put on by the Vietnamese association at the Atlantis. Got to eat lots of good food and see lots of performance. Grandma even sang.
Per Marek, it was too loud, but anything over a few decibal is too loud for Marek :>)

Hiking, sledding, and climbing

We went up to Donner and hiked into a climbing area. Kara enjoyed the sledding while Peter didn't. Marek got in a little climbing while the kids played in the snow and crawled around the boulders.

The kids loved the little puddles around the tree. Peter kept throwing snow at the trees.

The hike out. Kara was a trooper until she snow in the sockless boots. Boy the tear works. Right before we hiked out she decided she didn't want to wear her wet socks, that she would be fine barefoot in boots. Boy did we hear about it. Peter kept wanting to be carried out.

Happy news year 2011

Happy new year. 2011 coming around the corner. Can't believe that 2010 is behind us already.
We got invited by to Eric's house for New years eve. It was really nice of his family to invite since we really don't them that well. I just know Eric through buying DVDs off of him and exchanging emails about our families.
It was a fun time. We didn't make to midnight, but we did get home late..around 11:00 or so.
