More fun in Bishop during xmas break

We went to Bishop to do some climbing and to go to the Keough Hot Spring.  Wednesday (Dec, 28th) we went to the Hot spring for some swimming.  We then Van camped by Owens River Gorge.  Was it cold that night!!!  The next day, we then hiked into the Gorge using the middle fork..I was supprised that for the most part the kids came down by themselves.  The weather was great in the sun..the shade was a bit chilly.
I was out of shape for any hard climbing..only did two climbs and I was done!!  those were hard nines.

Peter Croft was there too.  Marek got to talk with him while the kids were enjoying scrambling at China Wall.

Christmas 2011

Had the family (Viet, Thi, Kaylee, Nathan, Danny) over for Christmas dinner. Marek made baked chicken and prime rib dinner with mash potatoes, I made the corn, stuffing, and gravy.


The Prime rib came out well done..left it too long in the oven :>(( Everything else was fine. After dinner we let the kids open presents.:
We got Kara and Kaylee both create your own princess book craft, Nathan got a big set of coloring, Peter got a take along crane, Uncle Danny got cookies and money, Viet a backscratcher, Thi various teas, Daddy a robe.

No Snow after Christmas

It's December and still no snow..what gives.  It was still so nice that we went up to Donner and daddy got to climb.  I was off work because this was the week that we did an IGT mandatory vacation :>)

Peter Christmas Play from Child Garden

I went to Peter's christmas choir from the Child Garden at IGT's cafeteria.  Was quite the show in which Peter was back at screaming and not listening!!!  So I didn't bother to video any of the performance.

Haircuts for the kids

Marek took the kids to Aunt Thi and got their haircuts.  I came home and my baby Peter losts all his curls ...boohooo.  I loved those curls.  Kara got a trim, it was hard to tell :<)

The grandparents head to Vietnam

My mom and dad are headed to Vietnam for three months...three months!!!  Three months of no Grandparents.
We saw them off at the airport Thursday night.  They will be missing Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Chinese New years.

Overindulgence in bath soap

The kids thought it would be fun to pour a whole bottle of bath soap into the tub...Mommy did not think so!!!
It took forever for the soap to dissapear.#$#@

Halloween trick-a-treating

Peter wore the spiderman costume to The Child Garden for their halloween party.  Then he wore it again for trick-o-treating around the neighborhood that night.  They went around the neighborhood wiht the cousins, Uncle Viet and grandpa in tow.  Was funny that Peter had a tough time at the scarier houses..wouldn't go near them to get some candy, staying near an adult and saying "don't like, don't like".  Kaylee and Nathan wore their taikwando uniform.

pre-Halloween fun 2011

Got the kids dressed in their chosen Halloween costume to go Trunk-a-treat at a local church the day before Halloween..There was free face painting, games, hay rides, trick-a-treating in a safe area...Yeah for free!!

Peter chose to be spiderman, and Kara of course a princess..
